Definition
Under direction, collects, processes, and analyzes necessary data for Housing Authority Development Programs; does other related duties as required.
Examples of work
Collects, processes, and analyzes data connected with housing development programs such as land summary information including description of property assessed value. Coordinates statistical information. Prepares site acquisition reports. Reconciles development contracting bills with contracts. Prepares correspondence dealing with development programs. Tabulates development contract bids. Maintains construction progress schedules and reports, inspectors= and architects= reports, and ensures payroll conformity. Draws up certification of release when job is completed. Establishes and maintains essential records and files. Will be required to learn to utilize various types of electronic and/or manual recording and information systems used by the agency, office, or related units.
License
Appointee will be required to possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey only if the operation of a vehicle, rather than employee mobility, is necessary to perform the essential duties of the position.
Knowledge, skills and abilities
Knowledge of problems, procedures, and methods used in the collection, processing, analysis, and interpretation of the work to be done. Ability to analyze problems, organize assigned work, and develop effective work methods. Ability to work harmoniously with associates and other groups and individuals interested in development programs. Ability to prepare clear, sound, accurate, and informative reports containing findings, conclusions, and recommendations. Ability to establish and maintain essential records and files. Ability to learn to utilize various types of electronic and/or manual recording and information systems used by the agency, office, or related units. Ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in English sufficiently to perform the duties of this position. American Sign Language or Braille may also be considered as acceptable forms of communication. Thirty (30) semester-hour credits are equal to one (1) year of relevant experience. Five (5) years of professional experience involving the collection, processing, analyses, and interpretation of statistical data. OR Possession of a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; and one (1) year of the above-mentioned professional experience. "Professional experience" refers to work that is analytical, evaluative, and interpretive; requires a range of basic knowledge of the profession's concepts and practices; and is performed with the authority to act and make accurate and informed decisions.
