BUILDING INSPECTOR/ZONING OFFICER

Definition

Under direction, inspects new and existing buildings and structures to ensure compliance with the State Uniform Construction Code and enforces same to ensure public safety, health, and welfare; does other related duties as required. Under direction, examines the working plans of proposed buildings for compliance with state, county, and local zoning laws, ordinances, rules, and regulations and conducts field work to ensure compliance with zoning regulations; does related work as required.
