Examples of work
Collects water samples at various reservoirs and streams and brings into the laboratory for chemical analysis; checks general condition along various points as well as equipment; changes chlorine tanks and daily work sheets as required; treats reservoir with copper sulphate as needed; assist in the laboratory as needed.
Requirements
Ability to read and write English with facility.
Some knowledge of a water system; of the problems and procedures involved in water pollution control.
Ability to understand, remember and carry out oral and written directions; to learn quickly from oral and written instructions and from demonstrations; to make inspections of water service installations and make suitable recommendations as to findings; and to keep routine records.
Good health and freedom from disabling physical and mental defects which would impair the proper performance of the required duties or which might endanger the health and safety of oneself or others.
