LEGISLATIVE RESEARCH OFFICER
The Office of Legislative Services provides the Legislature with nonpartisan research, bill drafting and fiscal analysis. Research officers do that work for committees and individual members.
OLS staff are appointed under the Legislature's own authority rather than through the executive-branch civil service, which is why the title appears in the Commission's list with nothing behind it.
