Definition

Under direction performs a variety of routine maintenance and repair tasks involved in masonry, plastering, carpentry, painting, plumbing, steamfitting, sheet metal, electrical, glazing, mechanical, and/or other types of maintenance work; does related work. Under direction, takes the lead over other lifeguards in a designated area; protects life and provides for the safety and welfare of persons in designated swimming areas; does related work.
