COUNTY TREASURER

The county treasurer receives and disburses county funds, keeps its accounts, and reports on its financial position to the board of county commissioners.

Larger counties require a Certified County Finance Officer credential. Certification and appointment by the governing body are the qualifying route rather than a Commission examination.
