POLICE LIEUTENANT HUMAN SERVICES
State psychiatric hospitals and developmental centres have their own sworn police force, run by the Department of Human Services and posted around the clock at facilities the Department and the Department of Health operate. A lieutenant commands a shift or a post within one of them.
This title is marked competitive, so the missing document is a gap in what the Commission publishes rather than a sign the rank is handed out by appointment. Promotion into it runs through the competitive process that applies to the rest of the career service.
