CHAIR CANNABIS REGULATORY COMMISSION
The Cannabis Regulatory Commission was created after voters approved a constitutional amendment in 2020 and licenses the entire legal market — cultivators, manufacturers, retailers and the medicinal programme that preceded them. The chair is a full-time appointment made by the Governor with the Senate's consent.
Because it is a gubernatorial appointment to a regulatory body, there is no examination and no eligible list. Staff positions inside the commission are a different matter.
