- Directs the establishment of effective program evaluation and improvement techniques through the line and staff divisions of the Department to meet critical Department goals.
- Works with the State Treasurer and Deputy State Treasurer in planning, developing and implementing overall Departmental policies.
- Develops and coordinates Treasury positions on matters before the Legislature.
- Identifies issues requiring state Treasurer's review, acts as liaison with Governor's Counsel and functional departments.

- At the direction of the State Treasurer or the Deputy State Treasurer, from time to time may be responsible for direct supervision of one or more of the divisions of the Department of the Treasury.
- Writes and supervises the preparation of reports concerning internal and external Departmental functions.
- Attends monthly staff meetings of divisions to ensure communication with the State Treasurer's office.
- At the direction of the State Treasurer, carries out high level confidential assignments of a highly technical or highly sensitive nature.
- Meets and consults with Division Directors and other department staff in the development, implementation and enforcement of departmental policies, as established by the State Treasurer and Deputy State Treasurer, and for other administrative actions.
- Acts as Liaison with Local Government Services in the Department of Community Affairs.
