SUB-CODE OFFICIAL (R24)
The Uniform Construction Code splits enforcement into subcodes — building, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, elevator — and each one has its own official who reviews plans and inspects work in that discipline. A construction official heads the enforcing agency; the subcode officials are the specialists beneath.
Every subcode official holds a licence issued by the Department of Community Affairs after training and examination in that discipline. The licence is the gate, and it is why a competitive title can still reach this database with nothing published behind the code.
