A-P-R-S salary schedule

The FY 2027 NJ A-P-R-S salary schedule for CWA-represented state employees: ranges 9–41, 11 steps, $39,358 to $249,836. Every step, free and exportable.

Administrative/Professional/Primary Level/Higher Level Supervisors (A-P-R-S) is the New Jersey civil service salary schedule covering employees represented by Communications Workers of America. It runs from range 9 to range 41, and each range is a 11-step ladder from a minimum to a maximum. It took effect July 11, 2026.

This is the schedule most New Jersey state employees are paid on. It covers four CWA bargaining units at once: administrative and clerical staff, professionals, primary level supervisors, and higher level supervisors. Because those four units share one table, a clerk and a senior engineer sit on the same ladder and differ only by range number. Ranges 36 and 39 appear in neither the printed compendium nor the Commission's own schedule lookup, so the ladder skips them.

10-month employees: September 5, 2026. Skips ranges 36, 39 — no published rate there. Published as A, P, R, S; verified identical.

Across the whole schedule, pay runs from $39,358 at the bottom of the lowest range to $249,836 at the top of the highest. Working from step 1 to the top step of the same range is worth between 43.5% and 48.5% depending on the range, before any across-the-board increase. A title's salary code is this ERG prefix followed by its range number, so A9 is a A-P-R-S title at range 9.

One row per change in the published rates, not per year. The table is nominal, in the dollars of each year; the real figures above it are in 2025 dollars using CUUR0000SA0 (U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics). Earlier years come from the Commission's schedule lookup alone; only FY 2027 is also checked against the printed compendium.
