Under direction, serves as a consultant to a program administrator on fiscal problems and is responsible for analyzing expenditures of programs to ascertain that contractual commitments or legal requirements governing them are being carried out properly; does related work as required.
Examples of work it lists:
- Assists and advises program administrator(s) on fiscal problems that may arise in carrying out provisions of various funding contracts and in preparing required financial reports.
- Reviews funding contracts and grants to determine various ways of dispersing funds within the stipulated guidelines.
- Supervises the maintenance of pertinent financial records.
- Audits program financial records to ascertain whether or not proper use has been made of expended funds and ensures they are ready for review by the funding agency.
