NJ Civil Service Navigator is an independent project operated by Gavin Rozzi. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by the State of New Jersey. This policy explains what the site does and does not collect, and how the third-party services it relies on may use data.

Information we collect

The site is a static web application that runs entirely in your browser. There is no application server, no user account, and no database of visitors. Bookmarks, recently viewed titles, and org charts are saved only in your browser's local storage on your own device and are never sent to us.

Analytics

We use Matomo, a privacy-focused analytics tool, for aggregate, anonymous usage statistics. Our Matomo instance is self-hosted, does not require cookies, and honors browser "Do Not Track" signals. We do not sell or share this data.

Advertising and cookies

To keep this resource free, we may display advertising served by Google AdSense. When ads are shown, Google and its third-party vendors may use cookies, device identifiers, or similar technologies to serve and measure ads, including ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can review how Google uses information at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, manage personalized advertising in your Google Ad Settings, or opt out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info/choices. Where required, consent for advertising cookies is collected through Google's Privacy & Messaging tools. Ads are never shown to visitors browsing from the State of New Jersey government network.

Affiliate links and AI features

Some pages include clearly labeled affiliate links to exam prep books on Amazon. As an Amazon Associate, this site earns from qualifying purchases, at no extra cost to you. Clicking one sets Amazon's own cookies so it can credit the referral; we never receive your name, payment details, or a record of what you bought. See the full affiliate disclosure. Optional AI features (such as resume matching) require your own API key, and anything you enter is sent directly from your browser to the provider you choose, never through a server we operate.
