Definition

Under direction of a supervisory official in a state department or agency, performs tasks for the diagnosis and control of contagious and infectious diseases of livestock and poultry; may investigate alleged cases of animal cruelty; conducts and arranges for the conduct of diagnostic tests; administers laws and regulations regarding animal disease control, quarantines and the interstate and intrastate movement of livestock; does other related duties.
