Definition

Under the general supervision of a higher level supervisory official or manager in a State department or agency, or local jurisdiction, performs various complex and specialized research, chemical analyses, and tests in the laboratory and in the field; supervises staff and work activities; prepares and signs official performance evaluations for subordinate staff; does other related duties as required.
