Definition
Under the supervision of a supervisor in a state department, institution or agency, supervises the work of other employees engaged in electrical operations' work; schedules, assigns work and provides on-the-job instruction for crew members; instructs and supervises employees; installs, troubleshoots and repairs traffic signal equipment or systems, highway lighting systems and wiring systems; schedules maintenance or repairs; supervises staff and work activities; prepares and signs official performance evaluations for subordinate staff; and implements programs of preventive maintenance and provides technical information; does related work as required.

Education

Experience
Three (3) years of experience in work involving the installation, maintenance and repair of electrical or electronic components, equipment or systems.

Appointee will be required to possess a driver's license valid the State of New Jersey.
Appointee will be required to possess a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and applicable endorsements for the class and type of vehicle being operated only if it is necessary to perform the essential duties of the position.
Appointee may be required to possess a FCC General Radiotelephone Operator License, Radio Industry Competency Certificate or equivalent license or certification specific to radio operation and repair.
