NJ Civil Service Navigator

FIRST ASSISTANT MEDICAID INSPECTOR GENERAL

Deputy to the Medicaid Inspector General, and the person running the office when that seat was empty. The work is auditing and investigating Medicaid providers: billing that does not match the care delivered, and recovery of what was overpaid.

New Jersey stood the office up in 2005 and folded its functions into the Office of the State Comptroller a few years afterwards, where Medicaid fraud work now sits. The post was filled at the top of the office, not from an eligible list, so no specification exists.
