PRINCIPAL ENGINEER MECHANICAL

Boilers, chillers, air handling, steam distribution, medical gas, fire pumps. The mechanical systems in State buildings are large, in places old, and expensive to get wrong, and this is the senior engineering grade that designs, reviews and troubleshoots them.

Work of this kind is signed and sealed by a licensed professional engineer. New Jersey licenses through its own board after the national examinations and a period of qualifying experience under a licensee, and holding that licence is what stands in for a Commission examination.
