DIRECTOR PLANNING AND RESEARCH HIGHER EDUCATION COMMISSION
Created in 1994 to coordinate what the State had stopped governing directly, the Commission on Higher Education kept planning and research as much of what remained to it: enrolment and degree data, capacity studies, and reports to the Legislature on how the system was performing.
A 2011 reorganisation abolished the Commission and moved its work to the Secretary of Higher Education. The directorship was an appointment made within the agency, so no specification was ever written, and the body it belonged to is gone.
