Deputy Attorneys General (Z) is the New Jersey civil service salary schedule covering unrepresented state employees. It runs from range 25 to range 38, and each range is a 11-step ladder from a minimum to a maximum. It took effect July 11, 2026.
The Deputy Attorneys General schedule, and the only table in the compendium whose ranges carry three different effective dates. Range 25 has not been adjusted since June 2013 and range 38 since July 2024, while ranges 30, 33 and 35 move with the current fiscal year. Read the date on the range you care about rather than assuming the table moved together.
Skips ranges 26, 27, 28, 29, 31, 32, 34, 36, 37 — no published rate there. Range 25 last moved June 29, 2013. Range 38 last moved July 13, 2024.
