What an eligible can be asked about. Anyone may be questioned on criminal convictions and pending criminal charges. Eligibles for a law enforcement, firefighter or correction officer title may also be asked about any arrest, whether or not it led to a charge. That second sentence is the whole of the difference between those titles and every other one, and it is narrower than it is often taken to be: being asked about an arrest is not the same as being removable for one, which is the separate question 11A:4-11 answers.
