Education

Levels 1, 2 and 3 : · Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree.

Experience

Level 2 Three years of professional experience, one of which shall be in the area of specialty specific to the job function being performed (see areas listed below). Level 3: · For positions in the Vicinage Civil & Family Divisions : Four years of experience in professional case management and/or dispute resolution. · For all other Administrative Track Level 3 positions : Five years of professional experience, two of which shall be in the area of specialty specific to the job function being performed (see areas listed below). Levels 1, 2 and 3 Areas of Specialty : · Program Evaluation: program development, program coordination, program analysis, program administration and/or administrative research · Administrative Operations: purchasing, accounts payable, facilities management, operations management, records retention, transcript services, jury management, statistical reporting, investigations and/or library administration · Human Resources: payroll processing, benefits administration, salary administration, classification, labor/employee relations, training, selection/recruitment and/or Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action Note: Areas of specialty can be revised on the notice of vacancy to include only the area(s) applicable to the position. Substitution · For all other Administrative Track Level 1, 2 and 3 positions : Applicants who do not possess the required education may substitute additional paraprofessional and/or professional experience on a year-for-year basis with one year of such experience being equal to 30 semester hour credits. An associate degree from an accredited college or university and two years of additional paraprofessional and/or professional experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree. Levels 2 and 3 A master's degree from an accredited college or university may be substituted for one year of experience. Levels 2 and 3 A law degree from an approved American Bar Association law school may be substituted for two years of experience. Note: A master's degree or a law degree from an accredited college or university, may be used as a substitution, not both. FINANCIAL TRACK (Financial Specialist, Financial Specialist 1 and Financial Specialist 2) Education Levels 1, 2 and 3 Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree including or supplemented by 21 credit hours in accounting, business administration, economics, public administration, statistics, mathematics, data analytics and/or financial related courses. Six of these credit hours must be in accounting. Experience Level 2 (Financial Specialist 1) Three years of professional accounting, auditing, budgeting, cash management and/or financial analysis. Level 3 (Financial Specialist 2) Five years of professional accounting, auditing, budgeting, cash management and/or financial analysis. Substitution All Levels Applicants who do not possess the required education, but do possess the 21 accounting, business administration, economics, public administration, statistics, mathematics, data analytics and/or financial related courses, including six accounting credit hours, may substitute additional paraprofessional and/or professional experience on a year-for-year basis with one year of such experience being equal to 30 semester hour credits. Levels 2 and 3 A master's degree from an accredited college or university in business or public administration, economics, accounting, statistics, mathematics, data analytics or finance may be substituted for one year of general experience -OR- a CPA designation may be substituted for one year of general experience as indicated above. License Appointees will be required to possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey only if the operation of a vehicle is necessary to perform essential duties of the prositions.
