NJ State Employee Salary Schedules — FY 2026

Source: NJ Civil Service Commission, FY 2026 Compensation Compendium. Effective July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2026.

This page provides structured salary data for all New Jersey state employee bargaining units (Employee Relations Groups, or ERGs). Salary codes consist of an ERG prefix letter(s) followed by a range number (e.g., P22 = Professional ERG, Range 22).

How to use: Find the ERG prefix for the position, then look up the range number from the job specification. The salary data below shows the minimum (Step 1) and maximum salary for each ERG's range structure.
