ARTS DIRECTOR

Definition

Under direction, organizes and coordinates orchestral, vocal, dance, art and sculpture exhibitions, or other fine-arts and cultural programs and presentations; supervises the performance of staff and volunteers; develops presentations combining current trends with cultural/artistic antiquities; does related work. An Arts Director may only be appointed in jurisdictions that have or will establish an ongoing fine arts program which spans a twelve month period.
