Education

Possession of a high school diploma or a G.E.D.

Experience

Eight (8) years of experience in work involving the repair and maintenance of traffic signals which will have included four (4) years of supervisory experience.

Knowledge of procedures for requisitioning materials, equipment, parts or supplies

Knowledge of procedures for installing traffic signal equipment or systems

Knowledge of established safety procedures and guidelines

Knowledge of budgeting methods and principles

Knowledge of employee motivational theories such as reinforcement, incentives, satisfiers or job enrichment

Knowledge of principles and techniques of supervision

Knowledge of training principles and techniques

Ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in English sufficiently to perform duties of this position. American Sign Language or Braille may also be considered as acceptable forms of communication.
