Definition

Support Staff Supervisors supervise, both on-site and remotely, a team or work unit consisting of support staff employees and perform a variety of clerical, administrative, and other support functions in connection with proceedings instituted before courts of justice or programs administered under the supervision of the courts; in support of the business operations of such courts; and services provided by NJ Courts.<

Experience

Level 1 Five years of experience performing a variety of clerical, administrative and support services to include two or more of the following: operation of computer equipment, document or information processing, handling payments or fees, recording monies received, reconciling balances or accounts, scheduling meetings or appointments, verifying client information and/or investigative interviewing. Level 2 Two years of supervisory experience overseeing a variety of clerical, administrative and support services.<

License

Appointees will be required to possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey only if the operation of a vehicle is necessary to perform essential duties of the position. Level 2 - Support Staff Supervisor 2 (Supervisor 2) : Employees at this level perform paraprofessional and clerical functions and supervise a team or work unit consisting of non-supervisory and supervisory support staff employees.
