CERTIFICATION
Possession of a valid New Jersey certification as a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC). Applicants who possess the credential as a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC) are considered to have met the above certification requirement. SUBSTITUTION Valid certification as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and two years of experience in a recognized treatment program or agency evaluating and/or counseling chemically dependent clients, including gathering and analyzing socioeconomic information; determining client treatment needs; providing access to social services, therapeutic interventions, rehabilitative assistance, or professional counseling; and preparing reports of findings and recommendations may be substituted for the CADC.
